Supercontinent Tejas

Tejas is the large landmass on the planet Tejass comprising 10-40% of the planet's surface, and nearly all of surface land area, stretching across it's North and South Hemispheres. Airborne landmasses above the surface of Tejass are generally seen as an extension of it, although some are distinctly traceable to non-Tejan geology. Surrounded by ocean on all sides, with a canyon canal carved between the southern “handle” of the continent, a result of large-scale geomancy ritual known historically as the Continental Circumcision– meant to quarantine human and undead populations from the rest of Tejas near the end of the Stupid First Human Era to mixed failure.

Tejas covers an area of about ??? square kilomiles (??? square miles or kilometers), and some percentages of the planet's surface, haven't measured yet tbh. Tejas is the largest continent by area, following Compass Rose and Kansarctica. In 2013, its population was estimated at nearly 579 million people in 23 independent states, or about 7.5% of the world's population.

Tejas is surrounded on all sides by a massive superocean Halfsweet Sea, divided into two for referential convenience, “east” and “west” known respectively as the Unsweet Sea and Sweet Sea. These are further divided depending on location, weather patterns, and fluid composition. The ocean's variable depth can propose unique challenges for sea-traversal and ocean-lifeforms and civilizations. At times the Ocean is shallow enough it could be traversed entirely on foot, while other times falls deeper than most vessels and lifeforms can survive in. The shifting nature and fluid composition, hostile wet-life, lack of government funding, and general lack of communication/trade between land and ocean civilizations means many parts of the ocean are poorly charted and studied.

Tejas also contains a wide variety of lakes, massive spawning pools, sweet-n-salty-seas, hot sauce craters, rivers, natural waterparks, liquid-mega-spheres, mountain-sized cups, geysers, as well as the World Puddle and other regional water features.

Corpses Christi is on Tejass, Tejass contains the Inner Corpses Ocean, which shares the same property as many goblin constructions, being an interior space potentially larger or smaller than the exterior can “possibly” contain. While the Inner Corpses Ocean is often Too Large, it is nearly always smaller than a fraction of the size of the superocean.

Inflow and outflow from Corpses Christi have major ecological and geological effects on the rest of the continent, the oceans, and planet. For more detailed information see: Corpses Christi Bellyworks or Corpses Christi Wet

River Systems

Various natural, unnatural, magical, and at least one sentient rivers flow around Tejass' geography.

Mustard River

A natural mustard river, the cradle of quite a few civilizations in history as well as the primary source of all varieties of mustard across the planet. Even individual tributaries, streams, creeks, develop their own unique and complex mustard taste. Mustard Goblins are more common in areas with a natural mustard source but Mustard Goblins can just as well be born in urban areas, factories, caves, hoards, ruins, or anywhere else large enough quantities of natural mustard may be found. Artificially produced or imported mustard is not known to be a valid substrate to co-fertilize a Goblin Egg.

Sweetsour River

This river system spans the Sugar Wastelands and it's sweet, sticky “waters” flow like honey, faster or slower depending on the heat and weather. Further characterized by the hardened secretions forming materials like flaky rocks and pearl-like pebbles, the hard and sweet exterior belies an inner core composed of various toxins and contaminants harmful to the waterbourne microorganisms that inhabit the sucrotic-micro-civilizations of the region. Corpses Christi River Systems

The Swaller and Spew Rivers respectively flow inward and outward from Corpses Christi Region through the rest of the continent. At times the two rivers run parallel creating turbulent stretches of river with conflicting fluid flows. As the chemical composition varies on either end at any given point, it can be dangerous to live near or traverse these segments of turbulent river sometimes called Hot Mouth. Gasses and chemical reactions can be quite toxic or be bizarrely beneficial and farmlands near these regions tend to produce stranger crops than what was planted.

Swaller River

The “incoming” Swaller River flows inward, toward and into/under/through the Pillow Crater Mountains acting as a geological sponge that ultimately pools briefly as a kind of crater-lake or basin that is then drained or geologically pumped through the rest of the Corpses Christi main mass. Various ejecta from Corpses Christi also expel into the Drool Lake. Human and sentient-being activity on Tejas have altered these flows and geology over time and dredging and trawling the lake have significantly altered the ecology and ecosystems of the area. As human and capitalist governments are depowered or consumed during the Third Goblin Era there has been a resurgence of life within the lake as stupid and inefficient goblin technology tends to inadvertently contribute more to the ecology than it manages to extract.

Spew River

The “outgoing” Spew River flows outward to the rest of the continent, sometimes bringing flows of freshwater cross-continent, other times other vital fluids, sauces, and toxic slops are ejected and flow or collect on the river shores and riverbed. Sentient life activity can have major effects on the fluid composition of Spew River, the fluids themselves have historically kickstarted many lifeforms development and evolution. The spew river once pooled into a massive lake that supported the growth of the World Tree but after repeated traumas suffered during the Tinman Crusades and subsequent Age of Douglas, the World Tree started to die, rot, and was felled, eventually providing the foundation for the the World Mushroom.

Chocolate River

The other “outgoing” river flows outwards towards the ocean from between the Twin Cheek Peaks, ending in a massive waterfall that pours in front of the largest sea-side entrance to Inner Corpses Christi City. Precipitation from the cheeks as well as waste from the cities in the region flow from this river into the ocean, one of many contributing factors to the fluid composition and ecology of the sea near Corpses Christi Region.
